Cajun Stuffed Crescent Rolls
Who knew a random accident could turn into a beautiful solution? A few days ago I was in my kitchen making stuffed peppers. But the time every green pepper had been stuffed to capacity, I knew they were ready to go.
But then I had left over filling. I hate having left overs of some of the ingredients but not all ingredients.
I didn’t know what to do. So I freaked out for a bit and relied on google. Because of the kind people who respond to Reddit questions, I found an answer to my question.
I found that I can use leftover pepper filling in crescent rolls. After changing some of the ingredients, I came up with a yummy new recipe.
Two different recipes, similar fillings!
This is where I started:
Stuffed Peppers with Brown Rice and Ground Beef.
I was able to use just the ground beef and veggies for the crescent rolls because they were made separately from the rice. In all honesty, I don’t eat green peppers by themselves. Instead of throwing them out when they’re all empty, I use it as additional filling in the crescent rolls.
So I was on to the next one. I can eat these for breakfast, lunch, or part of dinner. They are oh so savory! I wonder what these taste like with a sweet, fruity center. But I guess that’d basically be a toaster strudel.Stuffed Crescent Rolls
